Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency’s Skilled Trades Camps

The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, in partnership with the Housing Construction Council, is launching FREE Skilled Trades Camps for youth ages 11-15 across the Annapolis Valley and Cape Breton.

These one-week camps provide youth with hands-on exposure to a variety of skilled trades while learning valuable workplace safety skills and exploring future career pathways.

The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency’s Skilled Trades Camp, provides experiential experiences for youth across Nova Scotia to explore skilled trades. Funded by the Government of Nova Scotia and delivered in partnership with the Housing Construction Council and Automotive Sector Council, Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS), these camps give youth the opportunity to learn about careers that shape our communities.

Campers Will Explore:

Construction trades – Learn basic building skills and complete hands-on projects.

Automotive trades – Discover how vehicles work and gain practical experience in automotive-related activities.

Culinary trades – Develop kitchen skills, learn food preparation techniques, and explore careers in the culinary industry.

Through interactive activities and mentorship opportunities, participants will gain confidence, develop new skills, and learn about rewarding careers that help build and support communities across Nova Scotia.
