Cultivating Economic Growth in the Annapolis Valley

The Valley Regional Enterprise Network (Valley REN) is the regional economic development organization for the Annapolis Valley. We work with municipalities, businesses, and community partners to support economic growth across the region. Through business supports, investment readiness, sector development, regional research, and collaboration, we help connect people and organizations with the information, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

One of our main projects is the Connector Program, which helps newcomers, recent graduates, and people returning to the Valley build valuable professional and community connections. By introducing participants to local professionals, employers, and community leaders, the program helps people grow their networks, explore career opportunities, and feel more connected to the region. These connections support workforce development and help strengthen our communities.

The Connector Program has also developed strong relationships with skilled trades employers throughout the Annapolis Valley. Working closely with industry partners, schools, and organizations such as the Housing Construction Council, the program has helped local youth explore careers in the skilled trades, connect with employers, and take their first steps toward apprenticeship opportunities. These efforts support both workforce development and the growing demand for skilled trades professionals across the region.
