Join our Virtual Roundtables

Join us for our Virtual Roundtable sessions to help develop our Housing Construction Competency Framework.

This framework is being designed to support the credentialling of both current and future employees across the housing construction sector in Nova Scotia. Your expertise and feedback are essential to ensuring that the framework accurately reflects industry needs, expectations, and real-world job requirements.

We will be hosting a series of 1.5-hour virtual roundtable sessions, similar in format to our previous curriculum advisory engagements. These sessions will focus on four initial priority areas:

  • Framing
  • Interior Finishing
  • Exterior Finishing
  • Form Working

Each session will provide an opportunity to review and contribute to the competencies, including skills, performance criteria, and their frequency and importance within each role.

Why Your Input Matters

We greatly value your insights as industry leaders and professionals. Your feedback will help us:

    • Validate and refine the current draft of the competency framework
    • Ensure alignment with industry standards and expectations
    • Support the development of practical, relevant training and credentialing pathways in Nova Scotia
