The Housing Construction Council is developing a Home Construction Competency Framework to better define the skills, knowledge, and workplace competencies required across housing construction careers.

To ensure the framework accurately reflects real-world industry expectations, we are seeking feedback from experienced tradespeople currently working in housing construction.

Participants who complete a survey will receive a $50 honorarium as a thank-you for their time and expertise.

Each survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is completely confidential.

The Home Construction Competency Framework is being designed to reflect:

• Real industry expectations
• Day-to-day workplace responsibilities
• Core technical and employability skills
• Typical competency levels required on the job

Your feedback will help validate whether the proposed competencies accurately represent the skills needed for workers with approximately 3–5 years of experience who can work independently in the field.

We are seeking experienced siding installers to review and validate the competencies and responsibility levels required in the occupation.
