Tiny Home Construction Fundamentals

Build Your Future in Construction

The Housing Construction Council is committed to equipping individuals with the essential skills and certifications needed to succeed in the construction industry. Our direct-entry Training Programs provide hands-on experience, safety certifications, and career readiness to ensure workers meet industry standards and employer expectations.

The Tiny Home Construction Fundamentals Microcredential program introduces participants to the essential first steps of tiny home building through hands-on training. Participants learn about construction tools and materials, then move on to installing subflooring, framing and walls, roofing, and the structural enclosure. The program also covers window installation, scaffolding setup, and stairs. Each participant gains real-world experience by contributing to the construction of a tiny home. Graduates leave with practical skills, a Certificate of Completion, micro credential badges, and high school co-op credits.
